Unfortunately, there are still many communities and settlements where potable water is a luxury. In such places, the prevalence of infections with Intestinal Parasites especially amongst the school-aged children, can be quite alarming. This however is not surprising given that the main sources of drinking water are shallow wells, rivers and lakes which in many cases also serve as the latrines and baths.

The Free Deworming Campaign is a platform we launched in 2014 to provide free drugs to such communities to help with combating these infections. The campaigns are run in Primary and Secondary schools, and in low-income urban areas without sufficient access to potable water.

Our ultimate goal however, is to advocate for the provision of potable water in form of Bore-hole Water Projects for such communities.
